Everyone has a family.
We live in it and feel very warm. There are three persons in my family, my mother, father and I. We live together very happily and there are many interesting stories about my family.
My father is a hard-working man. He works as a doctor. He always tries his best to help every, patient and make patients comfortable. But sonetimes he works so hard that he can't remember the date.
My mother is a woman with a bad memory. She always does a lot of housework, but sometimes she makes mistakes out of carelessness. For example, one day, she washed clothes in the washer, after the washer finished the work, she found she hadn't filled the washer with water.
Now let me tell you a funny thing: one day, father wanted to get up early as usual, buthe wasn't able to do that, because he hadn't set the alarm clock the night before, so when he got up, he did everything in a hurry. After father left, mother said to me mysteriously, "He will come back soon." "Why" I was greatly surprised. "Because today is Sunday, his
holiday!" Just as mother said, father came back home soon, and went to bed again--he was too tired.
You see, what an interesting family have! I hope that you will have one like mine, too.

the art of living is to know when to hold fast and when to let go. for life is a parado: it enjoins us to cling to its many gifts even while it ordains their eventual relinquishment. the rabbis of old put it this way:" a man comes to this world with his fist clenched, but when he dies, his hand is open."
surely we ought to hold fast to life, for it is wondrous, and full of a beauty that breaks through every pore of god s own earth. we know that this is so, but all too often we recognize this truth only in our backward glance when we remember what was and then suddenly realize that it is no more.
we remember a beauty that faded, a love that waned. but we remember with far greater pain that we did not see that beauty when it flowered, that we failed to respond with love when it was tendered.
a recent eperience re-taught me this truth. i was hospitalized following a severe heart attack and had been in intensive care for several days. it was not a pleasant place.
one morning, i had to have some additional tests. the required machines were located in a building at the opposite end of the hospital, so i had to be wheeled across the courtyard on a gurney.
as we emerged from our unit, the sunlight hit me. thats all there was to my eperience. just the light of the sun. and yet how beautiful it was -- how warming, how sparking, how brilliant! i looked to see whether anyone else relished the suns golden glow, but everyone was hurrying to and fro, most with eyes fied on the ground. then i remembered how often i, too, had been indifferent to the grandeur of each day, too preoccupied with petty and sometimes even mean concerns to respond from that eperience is really as commonplace as was the eperience itself: lifes gifts are precious -- but we are too heedless of them.
here then is the first pole of lifes paradoical demands on us : never too busy for the wonder and the awe of life. be reverent before each dawning day. embrace each hour. seize each golden minute.
hold fast to life...but not so fast that you cannot let go. this is the second side of life s coin, the opposite pole of its parado: we must accept our losses, and learn how to let go.
this is not an easy lesson to learn, especially when we are young and think that the world is ours to command, that whatever we desire with the full force of our passionate being can, nay, will, be ours. but then life moves along to confront us with realities, and slowly but surely this truth dawns upon us.
at every stage of life we sustain losses -- and grow in the process. we begin our independent lives only when we emerge from the womb and lose its protective shelter. we enter a progression of schools, then we leave our mothers and fathers and our childhood homes. we get married and have children and then have to let them go. we confront the death of our parents and our spouses. we face the gradual or not so gradual waning of our strength. and ultimately, as the parable of the open and closed hand suggests, we must confront the inevitability of our own demise, losing ourselves as it were, all that we were or dreamed to be.
Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in much of North America, generally observed as an expression of gratitude, usually to God. The most common view of its origin is that it was to give thanks to God for the bounty of the autumn harvest. In the United States, the holiday is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. In Canada, where the harvest generally ends earlier in the year, the holiday is celebrated on the second Monday in October, which is observed as Columbus Day or protested as Indigenous Peoples Day in the United States. Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated with a feast shared among friends and family. In the United States, it is an important family holiday, and people often travel across the country to be with family members for the holiday. The Thanksgiving holiday is generally a four-day weekend in the United States, in which Americans are given the relevant Thursday and Friday off. Thanksgiving is almost entirely celebrated at home, unlike the Fourth of July or Christmas, which are associated with a variety of shared public experiences
"Shanzhai" first became a name for fakes after Shanzhai cell phones' popularity in the market. Now it has been given a broader meaning of fake, unprofessional or homemade, and a slang for anything that steals ideas or styles from already well-known stuff. Some believe that "Shanzhai" has become a culture of its own and it represents non-mainstream ideas and innovations. However, from my point of view, it's not a healthy culture but piracy.
"Shanzhai" comes from copying and plagiarizing and often infringes on intellectual property rights. For example, imitated electronics, including cell phones, MP3s and even laptops, are the most common "shanzhai" products. Despite the possible infringement of IP rights, they are much liked by many people as a good way to spend less. However, consumers' interests should not be at the expense of legitimate IP right holders. IP right laws are there to protect the interests of patent, copyright and trademark holders for a limited period of time. They are devised not only to reward innovators, but also to encourage further creativity. If illegal "shanzhai" is not held accountable, society is rewarding copycats while punishing innovators. The result could be disastrous. Everyone will choose to copy others. The market will be flooded with the same kind of poorly-designed and badly-made products that have short lives and lack after-sale services.
From the above discussion, we can see clearly that "shanzhai" culture is not a healthy one. It violates IP rights and undermines market competition order under the disguise of grassroots culture.
have you been asked for money by some beggars who have disabilities while you’re enjoying shopping? do you have any pity for that kind of people or just feel afraid? for whatever reasons, the number of disabled beggars bumming along the street is rapidly increased.
why there are so many disabled people begging in the street? the reasons are so various that we don’t need to understand. but at least, we know that they do not lead an easy life. so we should help them in some ways.
the treatment for disabled people should go like this: first, accept them. don’t be afraid of looking at the terrible shape of the disabled. try to treat them equally. because they are a part of the society, we can’t discard them. the second is to help them as much as we could. if you can be a volunteer and do some work for the disabled people, that would be very nice. that does good not only to the disabled people but also to yourself. because you will feel good after your kind action.
so give an air of warmth to disabled people, and the world would be much better.
