a nice cool shower first thing in the morning wakes me up completely and leaves me refreshed. before taking the shower, i am usually so sleepy that i can hardly open my eyes. as soon as i splash cold water over my face and body, i wake up with a pleasurable sensation. then, as i stand there under the gushing showerhead, feeling the coolness of water over my body and listening to the sound of water gurgling down the drain, i feel totally refreshed and relaed. i enjoy taking morning showers. it is the best way i know to get the day off to a good start.

i am walking slowly along one of the busiest streets of the urban area. everything seems quite different from it was during the day time. the buildings, the statues, the river, the trees,the street lights, the rusty pipes, the empty bottles, all seem to be refilled with energy. a gust of wind passes by, leaving a line of pine trees whispering to each other, our time is short!im awake, im awake... just like what always happens in a fairy tale.
nature is restless. i walk alone, but never feel lonely, for there are always buildings, street lights accompanying me. quiet and polite, they are like some well trained servants. being the only human being in this elf world, i suddenly have the feeling in my heart that the whole city belongs temporarily to met which really gave me a lot of ecitement.
the music stops as if to answer an empty knock at the door .... this beautiful scene reminds me of the poem written on the wall of the blue casket. this night, dark, cold but restless, is just like the heart of a human being.

you can find language pollution whenever you open a newspaper, turn on your tv set,or listen to a radio. language pollution exists almost everywhere and usually can be seen in the following places:
1. chinese characters are written in the complex form. although simplified chinese characters were accepted for use years ago, it seems that more and more peopie like chinese characters written in the complex form.
2. many goods are produced in china but carry foreign names, which sound strange and have no meaning at all.
3. words and expressions being used have a bad meaning. "ba", which means bully in chinese, is one example.now there are a lot of goods, restaurants even factories or films, with "ba" in their names.
4. there are too many incorrect grammatical expressions. some tv play series have strange names and incorrect grammatical structures. "ai ni mei shang liang", which means "1 love you without consulting", is grammatically incorrect and this kind of expression is now becoming popular.
some language experts point out that language pollution must be done away with, which is an idea shared by myself and many others.

Smart phones can provide music, movie times, bus schedules. They can even make phone calls! And now, they might help cut down fuel use while driving. That is, if enough are used in a system called SignalGuru developed by researchers at MIT and Princeton.
A network of smartphones mounted on vehicle dashboards captures and transmits images of traffic signals. The SignalGuru software then analyzes the data to predict traffic signal patterns. If the light ahead is red, the driver is told the optimal speed to avoid stopping and idling. Or told to make a slight route change that avoids a stop. Because idling and accelerating significantly increase fuel consumption.
The system was tested in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where traffic lights are on a set pattern. And in Singapore, where signals respond to traffic flow. And drivers slashed their fuel use by about 20 percent on average. The study won a best-paper award at the Association for Computing Machinery’s MobiSys Conference.

八零后的我，是從初中開始接觸英語的。初中一年級(jí)，從字母學(xué)起，初聽A、B、C的字母英文歌就被這門語言深深的吸引住了，至今對(duì)其迷戀不已。作為一名小鎮(zhèn)長(zhǎng)大的孩子，要想學(xué)好英語是多么的艱難，個(gè)中滋味可能也就只有我自己知道了。初中學(xué)校在小鎮(zhèn)上，英語老師大都是師范中專畢業(yè)的，沒有受過專門的英語專業(yè)訓(xùn)練，無論是發(fā)音還是語法分析、單詞釋義，都很難說規(guī)范，甚至有些常常是錯(cuò)誤的。但就是這些，我還是很感激將我引向這門語言的初中英文老師，寧老師。那時(shí)的我，頑皮且對(duì)英語充滿了好奇，上課常常學(xué)得比別人快，但又經(jīng)常地搞個(gè)怪引得哄堂大笑，讓老師的課沒法繼續(xù)。對(duì)此，寧老師不但沒有生氣，反而經(jīng)常的表揚(yáng)我，讓我起來背課文，上黑板去默寫單詞，推薦課外書給我讀以此開闊我的視野。最重要的是，寧老師給我推薦了一些發(fā)音方面的書讓我去讀，找課文的錄音帶讓我去聽，去模仿。寧老師說，老師的有些發(fā)音也不準(zhǔn)確，希望你能通過聽這些磁帶練好。寧老師的'這些話讓我至今難忘。真慶幸有這樣一位嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)�、謙虛的好老師。我想，我現(xiàn)在英語扎實(shí)的基本功與寧老師是分不開的，雖然沒從她那學(xué)到多少知識(shí)，但她的嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、她的指點(diǎn)、她的包容，鼓勵(lì)了我。
及至高中，學(xué)英語就帶了些濃重的功利色彩了。為了高考，整天的題海。老師的講解，我的看書，也不過是圍繞高考做準(zhǔn)備，沒有太多的印象了，也沒有太好的成績(jī)。我再次燃起對(duì)英語的興趣，是大學(xué)時(shí)期的事了。大學(xué)時(shí)，雖也要為過英語四六級(jí)而考試，但這時(shí)的學(xué)英語，自由度要大了很多。真正觸動(dòng)我的是大一第一次期末英語考試，當(dāng)時(shí)班里三十八人我考了三十五名，幾乎墊底，不服輸?shù)男愿褡屛野l(fā)誓要從頭再來。從頭再來，說起來豪邁，做起來艱辛。
聽力，我曾經(jīng)的強(qiáng)項(xiàng)，由于高考的不考也退化了很多。這時(shí)，我先用收音機(jī)堅(jiān)持每天聽校園的廣播，校園廣播聽熟了，我又開始聽VOA的慢速英語。到最后，這些都聽熟了，我又狠心買了臺(tái)CD機(jī)（現(xiàn)在的小孩可能沒見過），買來VOA的常速材料來聽，初聽一頭霧水，很受打擊。于是我就先預(yù)習(xí)文字然后再聽，對(duì)于每個(gè)不熟悉的發(fā)音，連讀，升降語調(diào)，輕重語氣都做標(biāo)記，再反復(fù)的聽，最后這些都能適應(yīng)了，應(yīng)付聽力考試自然是OK了。
閱讀方面，我先是精研大學(xué)英語課本，將里面的每一個(gè)詞從文章里的用法到其他的釋義用法都逐一解決；再到文章里的每一句話的語法特點(diǎn)，句子的構(gòu)成，都詳細(xì)分析；最后到作者的謀篇布局，所傳達(dá)的思想我都仔細(xì)品讀。精讀之外，更多的是讀泛讀課本以及一些課外的讀物�！洞髮W(xué)英語》，在當(dāng)時(shí)是本不錯(cuò)的雜志，在圖書館發(fā)現(xiàn)的，好長(zhǎng)時(shí)間內(nèi)都迷上了這本雜志，里面有對(duì)四六級(jí)考試的一些解析，更多的是一些美文可以品讀，地道的語言，優(yōu)美的文筆，都深深地吸引了我。記得還從校園書店購得一本《名家名作百篇賞析》，里面的文章簡(jiǎn)短，卻都美輪美奐，感人至深，海倫凱勒的《假如給我三天光明》，馬丁路德金的《我有一個(gè)夢(mèng)想》，這些名篇至今還能出口成誦。隨著閱讀量的增大，我的詞匯量與語言能力也得到了大幅度的提高。此時(shí)的我，在班里已是英語的佼佼者了，四六級(jí)都以高分通過。我對(duì)英語的感情，也由最初的雪恥，變成了深愛。在別人看來學(xué)英語功成名就的時(shí)候，我卻更加瘋狂地愛上了英語。這時(shí)的目的當(dāng)然不是考試了，而是被英語以及由這門語言而表達(dá)的思想所吸引了。閑來無事，我讀了大量的英文小說與散文。狄更斯的《雙城記》，菲茨杰拉德的《了不起的蓋茨比》，艾迪生《威斯敏斯特大教堂的遐思》等，這些作品讓我在了解當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)、異國文化的前提下，更多了一些對(duì)人性，對(duì)人生的思考。有些東西，讀譯作是品不到的。

Some people contend that online businesses are economic entities、with the purpose of making profits，so it’s reasonable and obligatory for them to pay taxes.Taxing online businesses also demonstrates fairness to both physical retail businesses and their online counterparts.What’s more，they will benefit from it in the long run.But others disapprove of the practice. They hold the view that despite the high e-commerce transaction volume， online businesses do not have a very high profit margin.Taxation may force many online businesses to quit because they cannot make money any longer.Besides.ff online businesses are taxed.the increasing costs are likely to be shifted to consumers.unfavorable for their healthy development.
As for my personal viewpoint。I support the former opinion.Now that online businesses are commercial activities.they have no excuse to be exempted from taxation.Furthermore，the tax-free model surely brings some benefits to online businesses in the short term.but it will become a great obstacle for the far-reaching development of the whole trade.
